As a Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in the effective management of accounts receivable, ensuring timely collections on behalf of our client. Your primary responsibilities include proactive communication with customers, addressing late or outstanding payments, and contributing to a consistent and efficient collection process within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactive Collections: Initiate regular contact with customers in arrears via telephone, addressing late or outstanding payment issues. Keep customers informed about contractual obligations, legal procedures, timelines, and available options until resolution is achieved.
- Adherence to Best Practices: Work diligently within established best practice guidelines, ensuring a standardized and effective collection approach is applied across the department. Your commitment to adherence will contribute to the achievement of both individual and departmental financial targets.
- Query Resolution: Respond promptly and effectively to customer queries, utilizing a combination of complaint process guidelines and proactive initiatives to identify root causes. Mediate between various parties to facilitate optimal outcomes.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues in different credit control areas, property management, branches, and finance departments.
- Target Achievement: Take ownership of achieving individual financial targets and objectives set by management. Your role is integral to the overall success of the credit control function.
