We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Manager to join our client’s finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, managing collections, and maintaining strong relationships with customers. The Accounts Receivable Manager will play a crucial role in optimizing cash flow, reducing outstanding receivables, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Invoice Processing:

  • Supervise and manage the generation and distribution of invoices.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of invoices, including proper coding and documentation.

Collections Management:

  • Develop and implement effective collection strategies to reduce outstanding receivables.
  • Monitor and analyse customer accounts, follow up on overdue payments, and negotiate payment terms when necessary.

Cash Flow Optimization:

  • Work closely with internal teams to streamline billing processes and improve cash flow.
  • Analyse payment trends and provide insights to support financial decision-making.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to facilitate timely payments and resolve any billing disputes or discrepancies.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable aging, cash collections, and other relevant metrics.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for improving receivables performance.

Qualifications:

  • Professional qualification such as ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) or CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of UK GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
