Corporate Finance Senior Manager

We are currently on the lookout for a Corporate Finance Senior Manager with over 4 years of due diligence experience. Our client, an accounting and business advisory firm, provides a wide range of services in accounting, tax, and corporate finance to support businesses, investors, and private clients in making well-informed decisions.

This role is based in Maidenhead and offers a hybrid working model with a minimum of 2 days in the office per week.

 

The Role:

To lead the fieldwork for Transaction Services (TS) engagements, which includes managing projects and overseeing team performance. Additionally, the role involves providing support for Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) engagements as needed.

 

Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility for the day-to-day management of specific corporate finance engagements
  • Manage project timetables and resourcing
  • Coach and train junior members of staff
  • Delegate effectively and appropriately to junior members of staff
  • Interact across the business to form a strong management peer group that communicates and shares knowledge around key issues impacting business performance
  • Develop own network of contacts that are accretive or incremental to existing firm relationships
  • Demonstrate an ability to win work for corporate finance and the wider business through client portfolio (new and existing) and personal network (new)

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive data
  • Act in accordance with the business’ values and competency framework
  • Maintain CPD (Continuing Professional Development)

 

Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient in Excel (data analysis), Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate with senior management and explain points clearly and concisely
  • Ability to communicate with client personnel at all levels and explain points clearly and concisely
  • Ability to coach and develop other team members

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA)
  • Minimum 4 years’ post-qualified experience with at least 2 years in Corporate Finance (TS or M&A)
  • Experience in training and coaching other team members
  • Successful project management experience from planning to completion across teams
  • Understanding of CF (Corporate Finance) deal structures and completion mechanisms
  • Understanding of the Thames Valley and London Private Equity community
  • Understanding of CF research systems and their usage
